The Province of Jersey website was the first Provincial website to appear on the internet with the
express approval of United Grand Lodge. Since its commencement in 1997 it has been maintained by
W.Bro.C.R.Goss, P.Prov.G.Reg. on behalf of the Province of Jersey. Information is supplied by the
various Secretaries etc, and the accuracy of the site is largely in their hands.
The website was rewritten in 2007 to make use of cascading style sheets. Frames and tables were removed
to ensure fast loading of pages and images. Gimmicks such as scripts and flash programming
were avoided to make the site easy and pleasurable to view.
With a design some 12 years of age, it was decided in September 2009 to rewrite the entire web site. With
even faster loading times, pages are clearer and links make the site even more navigable. The new site
went live on the 8th October 2009.
The pages have been tested in Firefox 2 and 3, Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8, Opera 8, 9 and 10,
Safari 3.2 and Chrome. Some earlier versions of the browsers do not render the pages correctly, and
should be upgraded. The pages are best viewed at 1024x768 resolution.
All email addresses on this site have been "munged" to prevent their access by web crawlers and spiders.
