There were twenty-four founders of the Lodge, which was consecrated in 1977. The Caesarean Lodge had started to become crowded and the progression to the chair, ever longer.
The Lodge was consecrated at the Masonic Temple on the 28th September 1977. It took its name from the twenty-fifth anniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II.
