Whilst the Mark degree had been worked under the Irish
Constitution in Jersey, it was only natural that with seven
Craft Lodges, the brethren of Jersey should desire a Mark
Lodge meeting under the English Constitution. The majority
of the founders had received their Mark degrees in the
Irish Justice Lodge No 34. The Lodge was consecrated in
1865. However it appears to have been dormant between 1868
and 1876 when through the activities of Bro. Albert Schmidt
the Lodge recommenced activities.
It was the practice for Guernsey Masons to travel to Jersey
to receive their Mark degrees in this Lodge, which
continued until the Sarnian Lodge was consecrated in 1892.
Meetings held at Stopford Road, St.Helier, Jersey
Third Wednesday in February (Installation), April and
October, and First Thursday in December
