Royal & Select Masters
Allied Masonic Degrees
The councils working the Royal & Select Masters' degrees and the Allied Masonic degrees in the Channel Islands have since their inauguration, been controlled directly from Mark Masons Hall. It was suggested in late 2008 that there should be a district of the Channel Islands under the authority of a Grand Inspector for both orders.
On the 25th March 2010 an Inspectorate of the Channel Islands will be created, and a Grand Inspector appointed - A.David John Rosser.
A special meeting of La Hougue Bie Council No 157 - Royal and Select Masters will be held at 17.15 (all to be seated by 17.00) and this will be followed by a special meeting of Andium Council No 164 - Allied Masonic Degrees at 18.15 (all to be seated by 18.00). Both meetings will be held for the constitution of the Inspectorate and the Installation of the Grand Inspector. A Joint Festive Board will be held at around 7.30 pm. All events will be at the Masonic Temple, Stopford Road, St Helier, Jersey.
The Heads of both Orders M Ill Comp J Alan Wright - Royal and Select Masters and M W Bro Michael E Herbert - Allied Masonic Degrees will carry out the work. Other senior Officers, attending the craft installation on the previous day have indicated they may be able to stay over for the event
The Grand Inspector has expressed his intention to appoint Ian C Crosby of Jersey as Secretary of the Inspectorate, Graham Scott of Guernsey as Director of Ceremonies and Ian.D.Russell as Treasurer.
