St.Laurent Council No 180
ALLIED MASONIC DEGREES
Consecrated 15th February 2003
At an Emergency Meeting of the Council held on 10 February 2010 the members of the Council resolved to suspend
the activities of the Council by amalgamating with Andium Council No 164. This proposal had already received consent
of the Grand Master.
The Council had not been able to attract members for a number of years and it was felt that, as much of the work was carried out by members of Andium Council who were members of both Councils, continuation had become uneconomic.
The members of Andium Council resolved to accept the amalgamation and thereby agreed to receive as Joining members the few Brethren who were not already members of that Council. The final phase was agreed on 15 February.
It is hoped that in time sufficient members can be attracted in order that St Laurent Council may be able to apply for its Warrant to be reinstated in the future and all members have agreed to pursue this objective with vigour.
